Nagarjuna Sagar: The town of Nagarjuna Sagar is located at a distance of about 160 km from the capital, Hyderabad. The world’s largest masonry dam bearing the same name as the town - Nagarjuna Sagar Dam has been built across the Krishna River located here. The dam has also created one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. Nagarjuna Sagar also offers picturesque surroundings and exquisite natural sceneries to the visitors.

Located 11 kms downstream from Nagarjna Sagar Dam, these waterfalls are mountain streams gushing down the hills from a height of about 22 metres. Camping and Trekking are popular activities around the Ethipothala waterfalls. Besides, the wildlife enthusiasts can also visit the nearby crocodile breeding centre.

Srisailam: Srisailam is a holy town in Andhra Pradesh situated in the Nallamala hills on the banks River Krishna. Srisailam has a number of places of religious importance. The Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Temple dedicated to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy (a form of Shiva) and Devi Bhramaramba (a form of Parvathi) in Srisailam is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Scenes from Mahabharata and Ramayana have been sculpted in stone on the temple walls.

Itinerary:

Day1: After breakfast pick-up from city hotel/station/airport and departure to Nagarjuna Sagar (170 kms / 3 hrs). Visit Nagarjuna Sagar Dam (Largest Dam in India), Museum, Ethipothala waterfalls and later proceed to Srisailam (180 kms / 4 hrs). Transfer to Hotel/Guest House for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 01: Delhi - Jaipur (262 km - 5 hr)
1Arrive at IGI airport New Delhi or pick-up from city hotel in Delhi. Today after breakfast we drive to Jaipur, popularly known as Pink City, the flamboyant & colourful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich & colourful past, resplendent with tales of valour & bravery, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city was founded in the year 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. It remains the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe, through nine rectangular sectors.

Optional Tour - Chokhi Dhani

An evening excursion to Chokhi Dhani complex, ethnic village resort located at a distance of 15 km from Jaipur. Rajasthani village atmosphere is recreated on the sprawling ground & includes the entertainment by folk dancers & musicians. Later drive back to hotel.

Day 02: Jaipur

We take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience.

Later we visit the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. The center of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens & the city. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date.

We now visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone. It was built in the year 1799 so that veiled royal women could peer down the busy street market unseen by the world through its 593 stone Jharokas (mini windows).

Day 03: Jaipur - Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (260 km - 6 hr)
Today we drive to Agra, on route we will visit Fatehpur Sikri (Ghost Capital), the political capital of India's Mughal Empire under Akbar's reign, from the year 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned, ostensibly due to lack of water. We visit Emperor Akbar's Residential complex, Mosque & Tomb of Salim Chisti.

Further we continue our drive to Agra, beautifully situated on the banks of river Yamuna. It achieved prominence as the capital of the Mughal Emperors from 1526 to 1628, remains major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur Sikri, all three are UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Day 04: Agra - Delhi (220 km-5 hr) Half Day Tour
Today we visit Taj Mahal, symbol of eternal love, which stands on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built by the 5th Mughal emperor, Shah Jehan in the year 1631 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was completed in 22 years. Further we visit Agra Fort, taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. The Fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone, often inlaid with white marble & intricate decorations. We will also visit Sikandara, Akbar's tomb. His son Jahangir completed the construction of the tomb in the year 1613.
Later we drive to Delhi & on arrival transfer direct to international airport to board flight for onward journey.

Nashik is one of the most revered and holy cities for the Hindus. According to the Ramayana, Lord Ram along with his wife Sita and brother Laxman spent four months of his exile at Tapovan near Nashik. The Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple is located at the source of Godavari River. The Jyotirlingalocated here has free faces signifying Bramha, Vishnu and Mahesh. It is covered by a jeweled crown with diamonds, emeralds and precious stones believed to be from the age of Pandavas. Devotees visiting to this temple also take a holy dip at the nearby Kusavarta, the symbolic origin.

Panchvati has a special importance in Hindu mythology. It is believed to be the place where Lord Ram built his home and lived along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman during the exile period.Panchavati today has a number of temples. SitaGumpha is another important destination in Panchavati. It is believed that Ravana abducted Goddess Sita from this place.

Shirdi holds a special importance for the devotees of Sai Baba. Located about 296 kilometres from Mumbai, it has the famous ShirdiSai Temple built over the Samadhi of Sai Baba. Regarded with great reverence by both Muslims and the Hindus, this holy shrine attracts thousands of visitors every year.
ShaniSinganapur is a small village in Maharashtra known for the temple of Shani. This shrine has a five and a half feet high black rock installed on an open-air platform that signifies Lord Shani. This village is also famous for the fact that no house in the village has doors and no theft has been reported in the village. It is believed that Lord Shani will punish anyone attempting theft.

These are 30 rock-cut cave monuments located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra dating back to the 2nd Century BC to 600 BC. These caves have extra-ordinary paintings and sculptures which are considered to be epitome of Buddhist religious art. The most notable thing about these caves is that they have been entirely crafted from hands using just hammers and chisels.

Upon arrival at Madurai airport, you will be met by one of our representative who will transfer you to the hotel.
Madurai - One of the oldest cities in South India, Madurai has been the centre of learning and pilgrimage for centuries. Spread along the rocky banks of the river Vaigai in the state of Tamil Nadu, this modern industrial city is today famous as a temple town.
After lunch (own), proceed for a sightseeing tour of Madurai City - The temple town is unique as in that all its temples are living temples and it remains a major religious centre attracting pilgrims the year round. Madurai's main attraction is the famous Meenakshi temple in the heart of the old town, a riotously baroque example of Dravidian architecture with gopurams (towers) covered from top to bottom with a breathless profusion of multi-colored images of gods, goddesses, animals and mythical figures. The temple complex is a city within a city and one can spend days exploring its labyrinthine corridors and halls.  
Another attraction is the Tirumalai Nayak Palace (1636) restored by Lord Napier, dance drama concerts are performed daily. 
Return to your hotel after the tour. Evening will be at leisure for independent activities.

DAY 02 Madurai – Thekkady (140 KMS / 3 ½ Hours)

In the afternoon, proceed to Periyar National Park to view the wildlife by boat, situated within the confines of the Western Ghats in the southern Indian state of Kerala, Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the most captivating wildlife parks in the world. The park has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Herds of elephant and sambar, gaur and wild pigs and wander down to the lakeside and can be observed from the launches that cruise the lake. Periyar also harbors the leopard, wild dog, barking deer and mouse deer. On the rocky outcrops along the lake, monitor lizards can be seen basking in the sun.  Return to the hotel after your boat ride.

Kochi, or more familiarly, Cochin is a city of many parts. Around for a long, long time, Kochi played a pivotal role in the development of shipping and trade in the region. Kochi's prime location on the west coast, its fine bay and protected harbour made it popular with seafarers and merchant ships who made frequent stops to stock up on spices, coffee and wood enroute to the rich markets of Europe and West Asia. Its twin city, Ernakulum, is an important railhead and industrial centre.

From Jewish Synagogue you will visit Chinese fishing nets. The cantilevered fishing nets line the entrance to the harbour mouth.
From the Chinese fishing nets you will visit St. Francis Church, originally named after Santo Antonio and dedicated to him as the Patron Saint of Portugal, St. Francis Church is the first church to have been in the new European influenced tradition. Vasco De Gamma died on the site in 1524 and was originally buried in the cemetery. 14 years later his body was removed to Portugal. The church was renamed St. Francis in 1663.
You will also be visiting The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, which was built in 1555 and its coronation hall and murals at Ramayana are noteworthy features. Evening you will visit a local theatre to watch Kathakali dance performance.
